Dear Friends and Fellow Believers: As we embark on a new year, we reflect and thank the Lord for the blessings He has bestowed upon Christians in Communications in our fellowship and support from our members and sponsors. I wish to take this time not only to reflect briefly on 2008 but more importantly to renew the spirit of our fellowship in Christians in Communications in 2009. In refection of 2008, our hosting of fellowship breakfasts continued at the NCTA Cable Show in New Orleans, the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Philadelphia, The Independent Show hosted by the ACA and NCTC in Orlando and of course the CTAM Summit in Boston. Each of these breakfasts was a success in bringing Christians of our industry together in fellowship and sharing of an inspirational message. Now to the new year of 2009. Soon we will be announcing our locations, times and speakers for our 2009 breakfasts. While CIC will be in attendance at our regular events, we also are continuing our efforts to expand to new, related multichannel venues and other endeavors under CIC. In the meantime, we are asking for the help and participation of all our members, sponsors and most importantly our potential new members. We want your help in sharing the heartfelt warmth of the Christian fellowship each of us enjoy when we get together and ask you all to” Let the Fellowship Grow”. Simply put, bring someone with you. It does not matter if you are attending your first CIC breakfast or your 20th bring a friend, colleague or customer. There is nothing more important or fulfilling than to share in Christian fellowship. Through CIC and in our invitation to others, we bring them to a constant while traveling from home in their business. Together we know one item never changes. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same as yesterday and today and forever”. The Lord has truly blessed us with the dependability of His word in this changing world. For these reasons, we ask each of you to Let the Fellowship Grow and to invite others to join us. CIC wants to grow and reach out to more than ever before and we are asking for your help. At the end of this letter you will find membership / sponsorship forms for your use and for your sharing. Please remember membership or sponsorship in CIC is never a requirement to attend a CIC breakfast or any CIC event. CIC membership / sponsorship is a vehicle for individuals and organizations who are led to participate in assuring CIC’s financial future and out reach.
